FAQ
Frequently asked questions
From installation to pricing, we answer the questions we hear most about Razbin. If you can't find what you're looking for, get in touch.
Which cameras does Razbin work with?
Razbin works with the IP cameras and recorder (NVR) in your store. In the discovery call, we'll work with you to identify the cameras that cover the areas you want to measure.
Do I need to buy new cameras?
If you have cameras covering the areas you want to measure, such as the entrance, the checkout and the fitting room entrance, you don't need extra ones. If an area isn't covered, we'll recommend a suitable camera position in the discovery call.
How is Razbin installed?
Our team does the installation. A Razbin device is placed in your store and connected to your cameras, and areas such as the entrance, the checkout and the fitting room entrance are set up around your layout. We only ask for someone who knows the store to walk us through it.
Does the store need an internet connection?
Yes. Your reports need an internet connection in the store to reach the app. If the connection drops, the Razbin device keeps measuring, and reports catch up automatically once it's back.
Does installation disrupt the store?
Installation is planned around your store's daily routine, and your cameras keep recording exactly as before.
Using Razbin
The mobile app, team access, notifications and store settings.
Where do I see my reports?
In the Razbin mobile app. Today's summary, the visitor and checkout screens, fitting rooms and opening and closing times are all in one app, and if you run several stores, you'll find them all in the same place.
How often are reports updated?
Reports update every minute. If a store hasn't sent data for a while, the app makes this clear.
Can I give my team access?
Yes. Account owners add teammates in the app using their email addresses. Manager access includes the reports, the snapshots and clips of key moments, and the settings; Viewer access shows the reports only.
How do notifications work?
Events such as a late opening, an early closing, a shutter left open, a busy checkout or a long checkout wait are collected in your app's notification center. You switch each one on or off and set its threshold from your phone.
Can I change the settings myself?
Yes. Users with Manager access change opening hours, grace periods, notification thresholds and visitor segment names in the app, and changes take effect within a few minutes.
Which metrics will I see?
- Visitor count
- Peak occupancy
- Average dwell time
- Checkout queue
- Checkout visitors
- Unattended checkout wait
- Fitting room usage
- Visitor segments
- Opening and closing times
In the discovery call, we'll work out together which ones matter most to you.
Can I compare with past data?
Yes. You can compare today with yesterday and with the same day last week, up to the same time of day. The day, week and month views cover the last 14 days, the last 10 weeks and the last 12 months, and history builds up from the day Razbin is installed.
Are staff included in the visitor count?
Measurements focus on customers. Staff areas, such as the space behind the checkout and the stockroom, are kept out of customer metrics, and Razbin applies further rules during the day to tell staff movements apart from customers.
How is the checkout queue measured?
The camera that covers your checkout counts the people waiting in front of it. You see how many people are in the queue now, the day's longest queue and an hourly breakdown of the queue. The time customers wait at an unattended till is shown separately.
Can I see the key moments?
Yes. Users with Manager access can view the day's busiest moment, its longest checkout queue, the longest wait at an unattended till and the moments the shutter went up and came down, each as a snapshot and a short clip.
What do I see if a day wasn't measured?
An hour or a day that wasn't measured shows as “not measured” in the report, never as zero. If measurement started partway through a day, that's shown too.
How does pricing work?
Every store has its own camera setup and priorities, so we price Razbin as a tailored quote based on the number of stores you run and what you need. We send you the quote after a short demo call.
How does the demo work?
Once you've filled in the demo request form, our team will get in touch. In the call, we show you Razbin, talk through your store and cameras, and agree with you on what to measure.
Which industries is it for?
Razbin is designed for fashion, apparel and footwear; malls and retail chains; grocery, beauty and pharmacy; and cafés, restaurants and service points. If you run a different kind of business, we're happy to look at your needs together.
How do I reach you after installation?
